XerionSoft

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

1. What this covers

This policy describes how Xerion ("we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Xerion platform ("the Service") at xerionsoft.net.

2. Information we collect

Account information: username, email address, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.

Content you create: anything you enter into Xerion's tools - documents, spreadsheets, saved contacts, financial entries, invoices, proposals, tasks, and similar content - is stored so the tools can function and so your data persists between sessions.

Files you upload: receipt images and documents you attach (for example in Bookkeeping), and images you edit in creative tools, are stored so you can retrieve them later.

Technical information: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and troubleshooting purposes.

Usage analytics: we record which pages and tools are used, along with an approximate location (country and region) derived from your IP address, to understand how Xerion is used and where. This is aggregate product analytics - we do not build advertising profiles and we do not share it with advertisers.

2b. Payments

License purchases are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout and never touch our servers. We store only the purchase record Stripe returns to us (amount, date, and license details) so we can deliver and support your license. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe's privacy policy.

3. How we use information

We use your information to operate the Service, authenticate your account, send transactional emails you've opted into (reminders, notifications, support replies), respond to support requests, and improve the platform. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Email communications

Emails from Xerion are sent from notifications@xerionsoft.net and relate to your account or content you've explicitly enabled notifications for (bill reminders, uptime alerts, ticket updates, and similar). We do not send marketing email without your consent.

4b. Where your data lives, and your rights

Xerion is operated from Ontario, Canada, and handles personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Data is stored on our servers in North America and backed up nightly.

You can access and correct your account information at any time from your account page, download everything you've stored via Export My Data, and request deletion of your account and data by contacting us.

5. Data retention

We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact support and we will process the request, subject to any records we're required to keep for legal or accounting purposes.

6. Your data, exportable

You can download a copy of your stored content at any time from Export My Data.

7. Security

We use industry-standard practices including password hashing, parameterized database queries, and CSRF protection. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

8. Third parties

We do not share your content with third parties except where necessary to operate the Service (e.g., our hosting provider) or where required by law.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.

10. Contact
